C. W. (Toph) Marshall is Professor of Greek in the Department of Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies. His research includes Greek and Roman performance traditions and modern popular culture, as well as how they intersect, in comics, television, animation, and games. This includes studies of ancient board games, the use of knucklebones and dice in ancient divination and gaming, and classical monsters in Dungeons and Dragons. He has also co-authored two TTRPGs, Diaspora and Hollowpoint.
