Mark (he/him) is a writer of digital learning content, a tabletop game designer, and founder of the Vancouver Playtest group where 900+ members give feedback on tabletop game prototypes. He is passionate about the principles and practices of game design, building collaborative communities, and how playing games intersects with social connection and learning. He enjoys playing and designing everything from light-hearted word games to crunchy strategic puzzles, or just exploring the joy of game components with his two young boys. Originally from the UK, he has a diverse background spanning English Literature, Law, and Psychology, including collaborating on research projects with UBC (reducing homelessness) and Imperial College London (cell phones and health). He also enjoys sport as a form of play and is a qualified badminton coach.
