In this workshop, Léandre will draw on her recent presentation at the international conference “Work Narratives, Precarity, and Comics” (Angoulême, 2025). She will compare the working conditions of comic artists across France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, and Italy, offering insights into how artists navigate the challenges of creativity, precarity, and cultural policies in different contexts.
The session will then turn its gaze toward Canada, opening up a collective discussion on the realities faced by local creators—possibly in collaboration with Illustration Québec.
Whether you are an artist, a student, or simply passionate about comics, this workshop is a rare opportunity to reflect on the future of the profession and connect with international perspectives
